cooking suggestions and
some of our favorite recipes to introduce you to a tasty
tradition.
Smoked Kielbasa
Remember firstly, that smoked kielbasa is a fully cooked
sausage. You can eat it cold with no preparation just cut up and
serve. Or if you prefer it hot just place Wyszynski's Kielbasa in
pot of water. Bring water to boil turn down heat and let simmer for
5 to 10 minutes.
Fresh Kielbasa
Fresh kielbasa must be cooked first before consumed.
Place Fresh kielbasa in water bring to boil cover pot reduce heat
and let cook for 20-30 minutes until internal temperature reaches
168 -174 degrees. Over cooking will dry the product out.
Suggestions
Breakfast
*Slice and fry: serve with pancakes or eggs
*Coarsely chop: use in your favorite omelet recipe
Lunch or Dinner
*Traditionally heated and served with sauerkraut on a
roll with spicy mustard
*Accompany with Potato or bean salad
*Cut into 3-inch lengths for "Pigs in Blanket"
*Slice and add to quiche, spaghetti sauce, stroganoff, stir fry,
pizza, soups, and stews.
*Substitute for almost any sausage or other meat in your favorite
recipes
*BBQ on the Grill
